Feeding Habits Fresh zucchini, lettuce, peas and spinach.. Live brine shrimp, blood worms, glass worms and tubifex worms. Frozen daphnia, plankton, blood worms, brine shrimp and glass worms. Freeze dried foods also accepted.

Compatibility Peaceful with fish of the same size. Males may fight with each other.

Habitat Borneo: Moderately decorated with live plants, driftwood and rocks.

Breeding The male has more red color and a pointed dorsal fin. The male will build a bubble nest for the eggs.

Additional Comments They use their feelers underneath their bodies to scope out new items or fish in the aquarium. A well rounded diet is important, otherwise the fish will die prematurely. Average life span of the Pearl Gourami is 8 years.
