Country of origin: Iran, around the Caspian Sea.

Ancestors of the breed: Asiatic Wild Horse.

Primary uses: riding and driving.

Color: bay, brown, chestnut, and grey.

Height: matures between 10 - 12 hands.

Physique: Arabian type head, long neck and shoulder, narrow body with short back, high set tail and fine legs.

Character: gentle and quick-witted.
