The Trip Home: Take your pet directly home. Have the new terrarium completely set up before bringing your pet home. Wait three or four days before handling your pet.

Temperature/Humidity: Daytime temperature 75 - 85º. Basking lamp temperature 115º - 125º. Nighttime temperature 60º - 75º. The humidity should be kept at or near 50%.

Lighting: All agamas require 8-10 hours of ultraviolet light. A timer will assist in maintaining an accurate schedule.

Feeding/Watering: A diet consisting of a variety of vitamin/calcium dusted insects such as: Crickets Mealworms Waxworms Vegetables can be offered once a week as an optional moisture-filled supplement. Misting the enclosure regularly should allow for enough water intake. Feed adults 3-4 times per week. Some juveniles can be feed twice a day during their growing period.

Habitat/Housing: A 30-50 gallon aquarium is recommended. A screen lid is essential for proper air exchange. The habitat must include a high basking area, hiding area (preferably made of rocks), and "cool" area. Unless you plan to breed, agamas are best kept singularly. Substrate (Bedding): Repti-Sand or Repti-Bark is an ideal substrate for agama terrariums.
