The decision to keep cats in or let them out is sometimes a difficult decision to make.

Some people feel that they should go out whatever the risks because they have a better quality of life, others feel that the risks are far too great.

Some cats do not mind being kept indoors but others suffer and try desperately to get out.

Tips

  • An enclosed garden or a run is a good compromise
  • Within the enclosed area you need to provide them with stimulation so they can climb, hunt, scratch etc
  • When cats are outside they do nibble on grass, probably as some type of digestive remedy, so providing pots of grass to an indoor cat is a good idea
