The Correct Way To Feed A Rabbit

· Gradually introduce new foods

· Make sure your rabbit has hay or grass provided daily, unless you are feeding a complete diet that states that you do not need to feed anything with it

· Feed a wide selection of green foods and vegetables each day:
- Apples
- Broccoli stalks
- Cabbage
- Carrots & Carrot tops
- Cauliflower leaves
- Celery
- Parsley
- Pea pods
- Radish
- Spring greens
- Sprout peelings
- Kale, spinach and turnips can also be fed but nor more than once a week
- Lettuce and tomatoes in moderation
- Garden weeds and tree leaves can be given to vaccinated rabbits
- Brambles, chickweed, dandelions, docks, ground elder and plantain are enjoyed by rabbits

· Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when feeding proprietary rabbit food. If the rabbit doesn't eat all the mixture, change the diet

· Some rabbits produce red urine as a result of eating certain vegetables such as cabbage or dandelions, this is normal and will not harm the rabbit
