Cockapoo
The cockapoo has been recognized by the American people as a special dog since about 1960 - it is a cross between the poodle and the cocker spaniel, creating a far superior dog than the parent breeds. They can weigh from as little as 3 lbs to over 30 lbs depending on their parents, with a good average being 12 to 16 lbs reflecting the usual use of a large toy poodle (8lbs ) and a normal size cocker spaniel. ( 22 lbs ) as the parents. The cockapoo coat is a nice mix of poodle and cocker although it can lean a little either way. It is usually soft and manageable, wavy but not tightly curled nor absolutely straight. The dogs are low to non shedding
