Tabby longhair

There are 9 varieties of Tabby Longhair - the red tabby, brown tabby, silver tabby, cream tabby, cameo tabby, chocolate tabby, patched tabby, blue tabby and lilac tabby (each named after their respective coat coluring). Tabby Longhair's tend to have copper eyes, although some may have hazel or orange eyes, and the silver tabby sometimes has green eyes. The brown Tabby is the oldest variety but is actually the most rare of the breed.

The coat of a Tabby Longhair is very dense, but is silky to touch. Their tails are short, but like the rest of the cat, is very bushy. Likewise, their legs are short and thick and their paws are also big. Tabby Longhairs have a distinctive "M" on their forehead.

The non-pedigree Tabby Longhair is the result of crossbreeding longhairs or the mating between a longhair and a shorthair. Unlike the pedigree, their ears are slightly bigger and their head is often smaller.
