Abyssinian Guinea Pigs

· These are also known as the rosette or whorled guinea pig, the rosettes stand stiffly away from the body and are distributed over the entire body. The ridges beween the rosettes stand up like brushes. Each hair changes colour from tip to root usually from dark root to light tip

· The colours are black, brindle, red, tortoiseshell, tricolour and white but can be a mixture of almost any colour

· This breed is more prone to cataracts than the others
