HOME RESCUE deals with the rehoming of dogs and puppies from in and around the Greater Manchester area of the UK. They began their work in July 1996 and since then; have found homes for in excess of 850 dogs and puppies. They do not have any kennel premises so instead, the dogs that they deal with either stay in their own homes until we can find them a new permanent home or alternatively, they go and stay within a temporary foster homes - again until a new permanent home is found.

TARA - spayed female, 4 years old. GSD. Black & sable, short coated. Not always great around other dogs, particularly small ones. Not suitable with cats. Best without children. OK in the car. Loves to join in a game of football. Waiting for a new home since 4th May 2002.
 
JESSIE - spayed female, 19 months old. Terrier type cross. Smaller end of medium size. White with bits of black and brown, broken coated. Needs to live as a single pet as she is unsuitable with cats and is very dominant with other dogs. OK with older children (10+). Very active and intelligent. Loves to play and loves to learn. Ideally suited to a family with terrier knowledge. Waiting for a new home since 23rd April 2002.
  • FERGIE - entire male, 17 months old, Border Collie. Black with white on nose. Short coated. OK with other dogs. Not lived with cats. OK with older children. Very friendly and full of energy. Waiting for a new home since 13th May 2002.
  • TRITON - entire male, 12 months old, Bull Mastiff. Fawn, short coated, microchipped. Timid around other dogs. Not suitable with cats. OK with older children. Currently living outside and now looking for an indoor home only. Very friendly. A big softie. Waiting for a new home since 9th May 2002
  • JAZZ - entire male, 2 years old. Welsh Collie. Black and white with tan. Medium length coat. A bit scared of other dogs. OK with cats. OK with sensible children. OK in the car. Loves playing fetch. Full of energy. Waiting for a new home since 27th April 2002.
  • TALOS - neutered male, 4½ years old. Doberman. Black & tan. Not bad with other dogs once he's off the lead. Not suitable with cats. OK with older children. Enjoys two slices of toast in the morning :-) Waiting for a new home since 13th April 2002.
  • CHARLIE - unspayed female, 15 months old. Lab x GSD. OK with other dogs. Best without cats. OK with sensible children. Currently spending a lot of time outside and now looking for an indoor home. Friendly and affectionate. Waiting for a new home since 13th May 2002.
  • LUCY - spayed female, 4 years old. Black Lab x Collie. Black with three white paws. Shortish coat. Medium size. OK with other dogs most of the time. Not met cats. OK in the car. OK with sensible children. Has boundless energy. Waiting for a new home since 3rd May 2002.
  • MAX - unspayed female, 5-6 years old. Collie type. Black & white, medium length coat. OK with other dogs but would be best to live as a single dog as she likes all the attention. OK with cats. OK with sensible children. Loves playing football. Not used to lead walking or going in a car. Ideally suited to an experienced dog owner. Waiting for a new home since 27th April 2002
  • GOLDIE - unspayed female, 12 months old. Lab cross. Golden colour, short coated. Medium size. OK with other dogs. Best without cats. OK with sensible children. Very full of energy. Waiting for a new home since 18th March 2002
