ARAS was established in 1971. It aims to care for and rehome needy dogs. ARAS is funded by donations and proceeds of dog training classes (Beginners & Advanced Obedience Training classes are held 3 times a week). They mainly deal with German Shepherds but all needy dogs are taken in. Although A.R.A.S is not a registered charity, they are registered with the Kennel Club as German Shepherd rescue and general breed rescue. A.R.A.S. rescue always have German Shepherds of varying ages, between 1 & 5 years, requiring new homes. Please also see the ARAS website, www.arasrescue.co.uk

If you would like to rehome any of these dogs, please call 01234 352271 or 01234 356612, or e-mail arasanimalrescue@hotmail.com. Please quote GIVEUSAHOME when making any enquiries - thank you. Please note that kennels can only be visited to see the dogs once a homecheck has been done and approved by an ARAS homechecker

Henry -2 year old brindle Boxer male. Henry will need a home with no other pets as he does not get on with other dogs.

Mickey - 18 months black Labrador male. Mickey is very excitable therefore a home with older children would be recommended. He is fine with cats and some dogs.
Blake - One year old black Labrador male. Blake is very affectionate but boisterous, he has never been in a home with children, but is ok with cats and other dogs.
Shannon - 3 year old GSD bitch. Shannon is a lovely dog but has a pancreatic deficiency, therefore needs a special home with lots of care.
