Web tribute to Bagpuss

Bagpuss was a BBC TV children's programme, first shown in 1974. Bagpuss is a magical, saggy, cloth cat, who is pink with pale yellow stripes. Only 13 episodes of Bagpuss were ever made. It is through Bagpuss' eyes that everything is seen and only when he is awake do his friends all come to life. Bagpuss can make all of his thoughts visible in bubbles which appear over his head.

Big Bird may look big and scary, but he's just a big softie from Sesame Street. Big bird is 8 feet and 2 inches tall! Wow! Big Bird is a very curious creature who makes friends easily. He is six years old and shares his nest with Radar, his teddy bear. His best friend is Snuffleupagus and he likes figuring things out, rollerskating, birdseed milkshakes from Mr. Hooper's store. Big Bird gets angry when people do not believe Snuffleupagus exists.

The world's most famous corgi's are owned by Her Majesty The Queen. Corgi's have been royal pets since 1933, when King George VI bought 'Dookie'. Five years later, he acquired another, Jane. The Queen grew up with these dogs and has been attached to Corgi's ever since, on her 18th birthday she was given a corgi bitch, Susan. It is quite an achievement, that the Queen currently has corgi's of the tenth generation bred from Susan! Phoenix, Kelpie, Swift and Emma are the Queen's current corgis. She also has four dorgis which are a cross of corgis and dachshunds. The corgi's are looked after by the Queen herself, as much as possible in her private appartments. The Queen's dogs are usually buried in the grounds of the house in which The Queen is living at that time. (Source of information: http://www.royal.gov.uk)
