Mickey
Mouse first appeared in the animated cartoon, Steamboat Willie
in 1928. His comics debut was in 1930 when he got his own comic
strip. (The first adventure was Lost on a Desert Island.) The
strip was first written by Walt Disney himself (and drawn by Ub
Iwerks), but soon Floyd Gottfredson took over the strip and continued
to draw it for decades. Mickey has a girlfriend, Minnie Mouse,
two nephews, Morty and Ferdie and a dog, Pluto. Mickey Mouse is
probably Disney's most famous creation.

Pink
Panther was created by Friz Freleng and the character was used
for the opening title sequence of Blake Edward's 1964 comedy The
Pink Panther, the cartoon character received reviews that were
as good or better than the film itself! The new star had obviously
clawed his mark, and a series of short subjects was immediately
put into production.
